Dear friends and patrons,
Sorry we are still closed due to our mandatory renovation. We are still waiting to hear back from our insurance company for an update of the extended delay caused by the theft of our kitchen equipment stored at the wharehouse facilities by the first contractors that took apart our kitchen. The final stages of the construction process has been on pause, because the essential parts that were stolen prevented us to complete the sealing of all the stainless steel in our kitchen. That step is required before connecting all the electrical wiring. The completion of that would’ve allowed us to power wash the entire kitchen, followed by a final inspection with the city of Mountain View. We should've been officially re-opened by early January. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, further progress for the last stage of construction is at a complete standstill, because the current contractors have orders to stop all work until May. We are simply waiting for answers and Instructions from our insurance company to complete this last stage of construction, since they are directing the contractors. We will certainly update you as soon as we have any answers. This is still completely out of our hands and we want to thank you for your continued patience and support. We are sincerely sorry for these extended delays and having everyone we love dearly go through this nightmare with us. Please stay safe and strong, we hope to see you soon. Any advice and support is welcomed and appreciated. It's been a year!
Dear Friends and Patrons,
Happy New Year! Unfortunately we didn't begin the new year with the greatest news. We were supposed to open last week but unfortunately the contractors that took apart our kitchen lost some equipment in their storage facilities, delaying us from completing the kitchen installation. We are still waiting to hear back when we can expect these custom parts to arrive so they can be welded on and get a new projected opening date for everyone. Once our kitchen gets installed and all the stainless steel is sealed, then the current contractors can proceed with power washing the kitchen and hoods before our final walk through and inspection. We are sincerely sorry for another extended delay, as it has been a nightmare for us. We will keep you posted as soon as we have answers! Thank you for your continued patience and support!
Dear Friends and Patrons,
We sincerely thank you for your patience, kinds words, and encouragement via email and voicemails messages, during this unfortunate closure. Aside from prior delays due to insurance and prior contractors, our building is dated. We had issues with planning the repair of our damaged wall and needed revisions of architectural plans to bring everything to code for fire and safety.
We finally have good news! We got approved with the city’s planning department last Friday and got our work permit yesterday to begin the actual repairs. We are grateful that we are making real progress. As mentioned in prior updates, we can only wait, but the estimated amount of physical labor is about 2 working weeks. If all things go smoothly, hopefully we can be officially open and running by the end of the year or the start of the new year. Please stay tuned!
We will update you as soon as we hear of an official date!
Sorry again for the inconvenience and we miss everyone and the patrons that wanted to come try us during this closure!
